i feel incredibly emotional about this book. it moves me, so i make no apologies for the strong feelings i have! i cried over it then and i can still cry now! this is a book we buy for ourselves. yes, we read it to our children but really we read it because it confirms to us, in just a few short words, just how absolutely we love and adore our children, so much more than they could ever imagine! my 3 children each have their own copy of this, bought when they were babies. my eldest is nearly 22. it's their keepsake book that they will, hopefully, read to their own children when the time comes, passing on the love that enveloped them when I read the book to them and then, then they will understand the enormity of the love that mothers and fathers have for their children. it is simple and it is beautiful. I would read it quietly at bedtime and I would read it animatedly during the day with the children trying to copy little nut brown hare's antics. even though they are sometimes cynical 16, 18 and 22 year olds we still do the "right up to the moon
